COVID-19 Vaccines for Agricultural Workers Update   Yesterday the Governor announced a revised distribution process for COVID-19 vaccines. Previously, groups of people considered essential workers such as farm employees were eligible for vaccinations.   The revised eligibility criteria is now determined solely by age. This change eliminates the formerly eligible categories of essential workers – agricultural workers, grocery store workers, etc.. If you have already registered farm employees for vaccinations based on their essential worker status, you will need to re-register and schedule appointments for employees based on the schedule below:
March 1, 2021: Eligibility expands to age group 55 to 64
March 22, 2021:  Eligibility expands to age group 45 to 54
April 12, 2021: Eligibility expands to age group 35 to 44
May 3, 2021: Eligibility expands to age group 16 to 34
Please note that registering for a COVID-19 vaccination does not necessarily mean that you have scheduled an appointment. Because there are many different vaccination options available, we recommend that you carefully read and follow instructions in order to complete the process. Obtaining a vaccine may in some cases involve a two step process of first registering an employee and secondly at a later date scheduling an appointment.   The most up-to-date COVID-19 information is available at www.ct.gov/covidvaccine.   ________________________________________________________
